Vintage Video/Film & Photos
The documentation of historical Blues dancing through film and photos is at the heart of The Blues Dance Project. Researching, sharing, and obtaining permission to share any historical documentation (photos, film clips) is one of our main goals. When original documentation is not available, we aim to preserve knowledge of the vintage forms through interviews with and demonstrations by those who originally danced these dances and are still living or modern students of the dance.
We have tried to cite original sources, obtain permission for use, and give accurate attribution whenever possible. If you feel that any of the sources listed are incorrect, or if you know the source of a particular photo or film clip that we failed to list, let us know.
